The Hyundai Lambda engine family is the company's modern all-aluminum V6. It is manufactured at Hyundai's HMMA plant in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. All versions of this engine use a timing chain.

The 3.0 L G6DG version released with the Grandeur 5th generation.[1] It produces 266 hp (199 kW) at 6400 rpm and 234 ft·lbf (310 N·m) at 5300 rpm. Compressio ratio is 11.0 : 1. Bore and stroke measure 92 x 75.2 mm (3.6 x 2.96 in) for a total displacement of 2999 cc.
For the Middle East market, the engine is a non GDI version developing 247 bhp (184 kW) at 6000 rpm and 253 ft.lbf (343 N.m) at 3500 rpm. The Engine is available in the Middle East version of the 2012 Hyundai Azera.
The 3.3 L G6DB version was introduced with the 2006 Sonata. It produces 237-249 hp (173 kW) at 6000 rpm and 230 ft·lbf (304 N·m) at 3500 rpm.
In the Hyundai Genesis Sedan this engine makes up to 264 hp (197 kW). In the Hyundai Azera this engine produces 260 HP, primarily due to a larger air intake and other enhancements
The G6DB has an aluminum block and heads, variable valve timing on the intake side, and 4 valves per cylinder. Bore and stroke measure 92 x 83.8 mm (3.6 x 3.3 in) for a total displacement of 3342 cc.
Applications:
The 3.5-liter (3470 cc) version debuted in the global version of the 2011 Kia Sorento. This engine is rated at 276 hp (206 kW) and 247 lb·ft (335 N·m). Bore x stroke measure 92 x 87 mm; it uses similar technology as the 3.3 and 3.8L variants of the Lambda family.
Hyundai debuted a GDI version of Lambda V6 at 2010 Beijing Auto Show. Hyundai presented few details but the engine has power rating of 302ps.
Applications:
The 3.8 L (3778 cc) version produces 265 PS (196 kW) and 266 ft·lbf (353 Nm). It has a 96 mm (3.8 in) bore and 87 mm (3.4 in) stroke.
The Lambda RS 3800 (Rear-drive Sport) longitudinal Lambda engine variant can be found in the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. In this application power is rated at: 306 hp (228 kW) @ 6300 rpm, and 266 lb·ft (361 N·m) of torque at 4700 rpm. Another longitudinal version with standard output can be found in the Kia Borrego, but all other vehicles using this engine have a transverse mounting configuration for front-wheel-drive. The engine is an all aluminum mill, featuring DOHC and 24 valves. Hyundai released a GDI variant of this engine for the 2012 Genesis. The GDI Lambda V6 includes direct fuel injection and is rated at 333 hp (248 kW), and 291 lb·ft (395 N·m) of torque for the Genesis Sedan and 350 hp (261 kW), and 295 lb·ft (400 N·m) of torque for the Genesis Coupe.
